Learn about Managing a MultiCultural Classroom

This is an interactive workshop that introduces an unexpected and surprisingly simple way to manage cultural differences with tools teachers already possess. Teachers will learn how cultural sensitivity can help them effectively teach groups of multicultural students. The purpose of the training is to generate a high-yield instructional strategy, to transfer their knowledge and to develop soft skills in an international environment. The purpose is not to increase the teachers’ level of English but to provide them with tips and tricks on how to perform well in English in front of a class of young adult learners.

Carolyn van Es-Vines is a Certified Professional Coach and Intercultural Trainer. She holds a Master’s degree in Latin American literature and has taught at the University of Maryland and Tulane Universityin the States. At University College Utrecht she was a tutor and instructor and at Tio University of Applied Sciences an instructor. She is the author of black and (A)broad: traveling beyond the limitations of identity.
